Hi Atty. To keep you in the loop, I will try my best to email you every Friday for you to know what’s going in our school.
To start our school year right, I came up with my weekly schedule which includes short meetings with different department heads to discuss about their tasks that they are supposed to accomplish within the week every Mondays and recap of what transpired for the week every Fridays. I allocate Wednesday for filing, signing of documents, answering emails and other school related activities. Also, I am now working on the monthly calendar for submission of reports (consolidated) which I plan to post on our bulletin board inside admin office so staff will be reminded. I hope this will improve the operation of our school.
Exciting news: As of this writing our total student population has reached 763. My target is only 750 but God insisted more. With open arms, we welcome these students.
Accomplishment :
1) The partition between the library and internet lab is removed already. I had a talk with Dennis and we will help one another to ensure on-time completion of the school’s future projects(repairs or sort of construction).
2) AS for the attendance, this week, please see attached attendance report. I actually designed a query to extract the actual time-in and out of each employee from our Timekeeping database. I am proud to say that, except for Jane(who is suffering from sleeping disorder), 97% reported for work on time this week, including me( I have flexible time, if I report at 7am, my time out is 4:00pm, if 8am, then time out is 5pm)
3) Two new security guards will report on Monday. Dennis and I prepared their duties and responsibilities and assignments and work ethics as expected of them. WE will have a short meeting on Monday with their supervisors to discuss our expectations.
Not “so good news”: The arm chairs will be delivered next Thursday. I talked to the supplier and the reason of delay is the late release of check. For now, we are utilizing the tables and chairs intended for the hallway for classes with small population.
In the pipeline:
1) Job goals discussion by employee( including mine…I will send it to you)
2) To improve our procedure on repairs to include penalty on delays and acceptance of finished job/product ( the form Dennis submits which contains the description of work to be done by our carpenters/plumber/ fabricators/ electrician/other has to be improved or revised). I need your suggestions on this.
That’s for now.
By the way Atty, the photo below my signature was taken after our 2nd morning meeting last June 8, 2009(this is the best time to conduct meetings during enrollment). It was well-attended and everybody was happy.
