My Journey to Losing the Remaining 10 lbs-Day 1

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog…Now, I am back and hoping to write something positive that would inspire readers of this blog..reader I mean, my husband Jojo is my regular reader even if I don’t have new postings….5 months have gone and still my weight is a whooping 140lbs…WHY WHY WHY … I exercise 3 times a week but not losing weight but mind you, I am not gaining lbs……I think because of my diet…My promises to myself to start dieting on a specific date…many dates, shall I say…consistency is the solution…I KNOW IT BUT I JUST DON’T DO IT…

But why do I always fail in starting my diet?

a) If you are married to a man with family who bonds a lot and spends time sitting for hours on a round table, talking about real-life experiences while munching mouth-watering dishes prepared with love and care, cooked like those in high end restaurants in Makati that are rich in high cholesterol ingredients…do you think it is easy to start your diet…I enjoy the food more than I enjoy their conversation coz I am not familiar with the main casts of their stories.

Next time that I will be engaged in this “bonding thing”: I will bring a lot of fruits and nuts that I can munch while listening to their never-ending stories about life. My mother-in-law has nice insights about business and family. I enjoy listening to her advices and observations of the way I raise my kids( most of them, need improvement on my part…hehehe)

b) If you hold a position in a company where you are tasked to entertain VIPs by way of inviting them dine-in in best restaurants in our area, do you think I won’t get tempted ordering foods that would fascinate their taste buds? Since, I have a say on what to orders, WHY NOT include veggies, salad and fish in our set menu…GREAT.

c) ENOUGH OF THOSE ALIBI, the reason is I lack …SELF-DISCIPLINE IN MY EATING HABITS…PERIOD…

I started yesterday. I had a heavy breakfast with my favorite cup of coffee, 1 cup white rice, 1 serving of beef steak( left over dish), 1 slice of puto bingka. In the morning, I had 4 glasses of water. For lunch, I ate cabbage with carrots mixed with sotanghon(no rice). For snack, I just munched coco crunch with one banana and for dinner, grilled fish, kangkong and half cup brown rice….After dinner, My hubby and I played badminton with Taloy and his son for one hour…

I gave our cook a list of food to prepare the entire week, more on fish and veggies and fruits…Hope to lose weight this week. WISH KO LANG….
