Last
Monday, November 16, 2015, I accompanied my husband to CEBU for his scheduled
check up on his right elbow, which he has been complaining about for the past 1
and ½ months. Part of our itinerary is to visit Ma Chinga, my ever loving and
supportive auntie-in-law.
Despite several occasions of downtime and problematic
communication lines, I am still thankful to the mobile connection as I got to
perform tasks through mobile. Today is the last day of preparation for our BSTM
recognition.
You
may choose to be productive and accomplish a lot of things while staying for 2
hours on board the fast craft. I bumped one passenger who has a long over due
account with our printing press. I had a short talk with him and he promised to
pay us within the week( I put it on my calendar ). I reviewed list of our
receivables and sent through pm gentle reminder to our clients.
We
arrived before noon time at the clinic of Dr. Roland Eullaran and I am
impressed with how he managed his queuing system using the power of internet
and mobile technology. A week before the scheduled check up, my husband
received a message through text about this check up informing him that he is #
17 patient for Nov 16. Upon arrival, we asked his secretary the estimated check
up time of my husband and she said that a text message shall be sent informing
us of the patient number currently being served. She advised us to be at the
clinic when the queue is at patient #12. Dr. Eullaran values the time of his
patient ( they may run other errands thus making them more productive) and this
also prevents overcrowding of patients at the clinic’s waiting area.
We
were called at exactly 2pm. I admire the humor and warm personality of Dr.
Eullaran. He performed ultra sound on my husband’s elbow and it reveals muscle
inflammation. He injected med on his
right elbow. According to Dr. Roland, possible causes of such inflammation
which doctors call tennis elbow injury include: carrying of heavy items or long
use of arm muscle which normally happens to woman running household chores.
Candidly, my husband said“ I do the
laundry doc” which the doc responded “ same here”.
I
noticed a date mark “ DEC 10, 2015” on the window type aircon of Dr. Eullaran
which he said the next cleaning schedule for the said aircon to ensure proper
care and maintenance ( pang ISO ). On his clinic wall, you will notice also a
collage of his photos taken during his visit to various countries. I also
notice two wall paintings of CEBU’s. He is a proud Cebuano. Kudos to you Doc!

We
went straight to National Bookstore SM to buy another fingerprint biometric
NIDEKA for our business. Then, went to Barber’s corner( for Jojo’s much needed
haircut), newly opened barber shop in SM where most of their employees are
employees from a famous Saloon in CEBU. They left their job where they served
for almost 10 years due to better offer and benefits. This made me think, how
their previous company reacted on this issue. 10 years for me means loyalty but
if your employees leave, maybe it is time tor revisit your HR management to
avoid future attrition. Believe me,
these employees are really skilled and very good in what they do.
We visited Uniglo( originated in Japan ) that sells affordable
quality apparel: from foot to head. We spent 3500 for 7 pcs of assorted
garments ( polo, tshirt, shorts )

It was a tiring yet enriching day I had.
I think he's a bad shady doctor. He refused to look at perfectly good MRI x-ray films because he prefers computer DVD. He refused to look at lab results because he prefers the laboratory he earns commission from. A good doctor will take in full medical history of patient, doesn't matter from where and what form. A good doctor will accept any valid laboratory results if the lab is registered and accredited. He didn't even inform me a list of his preferred labs before I went and wasted my money on lab results he doesn't accept. It's not even like he viewed the X-ray films and lab results out of courtesy and for continued treatment, with his preference advised for future lab tests. He basically turned his eyes away and said "I cannot interpret this" (his exact words) as if he is incompetent to accept anything outside his preference and work with it. He also put my proper treatment on hold until I produce the same lab results from his preferred lab. If this is what passes as a doctor here, I've lost faith in the medical profession here.
